Obituary for William R "Billy" DiLorenzo Jr.
William “Billy” DiLorenzo Jr. 76, of East Boston, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Cherished and devoted son of the late William Sr. and Marie “Alice” DiLorenzo. Dear brother of Coach Donnie DiLorenzo of East Boston, and caring brother in law of Claudia DiLorenzo and his adored nephew Dante Di Lorenzo both of Danvers. Also lovingly survived by many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will honor Williams’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, REVERE on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. before leaving in procession to the Parish of the Incarnation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , 429 Upham Street, Melrose for a Funeral Mass in his honor at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Late Boston University all American Athlete, Past Coach of Boston Technical and East Boston High School Track and Field. Forty one years of service to the Children of Boston. He enjoyed scuba diving and clamming. Was an avid collector of stamps and coins. His biggest love was boating with his nephew Dante in the waters off East Falmouth. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made in Billy’s name to St Jude Children’s Hospital 501 ST. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
